How Do I Change My Default Multi-Factor Authentication Method?

You should set your default authentication method to the Microsoft Authenticator (MFA) app to receive push notifications on your mobile device.

 

How to Change Your Default Authentication Method

  1. Sign in to your UWSP Microsoft account.
  2. In the Manage access and security section select Change how you sign in. You may be prompted for your current method of authentication.
  3. To the right of Default sign-in method will be your current authentication method. To the right of this, click Change.
  4. From the list that opens, select App-based authentication - notification.
  5. Click Confirm.
