How Do I Include an Email Message as an Attachment?

Sometimes you need to attach an email conversation in a new email to provide information or context to someone else. Luckily, it's easy to do this in Microsoft Outlook!

How to Attach an Email Message in Outlook for Desktop

  1. Open the Outlook app and find the email you want to attach to a new message.

  2. In the open message or the email preview click the horizontal three dots at the top right.

    In Outlook Desktop:  click Forward as Attachment.

    In the Outlook Web app: hover over Other reply actions, then click Forward as attachment.


     

This opens a new message with the other message as an attachment.
