How Do I Use the Microsoft Authenticator App?

Before you can authenticate using the Microsoft Authenticator app, you will need to  install and set up the app.

Authenticate Using the Microsoft Authenticator App

  1. Sign in to a secure UWSP resource or service. A pop up box with a two-digit authentication number displays.

The pop up box displays the UWSP logo, followed by security text with a large two-digit number below.
 

On your mobile device,

  1. Tap the Approve sign-in prompt.

Tap the "Approve sign-in" banner on your mobile device.

  1. Enter the unique authentication number into the Authenticator app.
  2. Tap Yes.
    The Authenticator app displays a pop up box where you enter the two-digit number.
  3. Depending on your device, you may also be asked to Input your mobile device pin or use biometrics to confirm and complete your MFA authentication.
