NOTE: We do not reset Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) over email for security reasons.

 

Steps to Reset Your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA):

To reset your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), please follow these guidelines:

  1. Reach out to the UWSP IT Service Desk in-person or over the phone. 
  2. IT Service Desk will verify your account information. Please be ready to provide further information if required.
  3. They will then reset your MFA and will guide you to https://myaccount.uwsp.edu/
  4. After you sign in, it will have you setup your new MFA.

Why can't Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) be reset via email?

  • For security reasons, email is not considered a secure method for handling MFA resets. Verifying identity over the phone or in person ensures the protection of user accounts.
