Requesting a Refund For Printing Errors

The IT Service Desk can provide a credit refund for print jobs that students are unable to physically print due to a mechanical malfunction of a campus printer.

Print Jobs Damaged During Printing

To request a printing fee refund if your paper document is damaged while it is printing (paper torn, streaks, etc):

  1. Fill out a Print Refund Request form (paper forms).  Print Refund Request forms (paper forms) are found at the teacher station in all IT Computer Classrooms and at the lab assistant desk in all IT Homework Labs, or next to the printer if no front desk is present.
  2. Attach the completed form to the damaged printed document.
  3. Deliver the form and attached document to the IT Service Desk.
  4. If you are unable to locate a Print Refund Request form, please call the IT Service Desk at 715-346-4357 (HELP) or email them at help@uwsp.edu.

 

Print Jobs That Do Not Print

To request a printing fee refund if you were charged for a print job that did not physically print:

  1. Call the IT Service Desk at 715-346-4357 (HELP) or email them at help@uwsp.edu.
  2. Provide the following information about the failed print job:
    • Date and time of the job.
    • Location of the printer.
    • Document name.
    • Reason for the credit request.
