Add a Secondary Authentication Method (Students)

Information Technology recommends the Microsoft Authenticator app for secondary authentication when signing into secure UWSP resources. Adding one or more additional secondary authentication methods for backup is also recommended.

following is a list of secondary authentication options available to UWSP students:

Enable Phone Call Authentication

  1. Sign in to your UWSP Microsoft account.
     
  2. In the Security info box click UPDATE INFO >.

You will be asked to sign in with your current secondary authentication method, for example, using the MFA app.

  1. On the Security Info screen, click Add a sign-in method.
  2. select Alternate phone.
  3. Enter your phone number
  4. Select Call me
  5. Click Next.

You will receive an automated call asking you to confirm the registration of your phone.
