Where Can I Find a Campus Phone for Personal or Emergency Calls?

UWSP campus phones are located on every building floor if you need to make a personal call or a 911 emergency call. You can find campus phones mounted on the wall in locations like building corridors, alcoves, and stairwells.

Emergency Calls: There may be 7-12 seconds of silence before the phone rings, DO NOT HANG UP! If you call by mistake stay on the line to let them know. Not letting police know you called by mistake will result in a call back. If you then do not answer, the City of Stevens Point will send emergency services to your call location.

Identifying Campus Phones

  • Stevens Point campus phones: Look for wall-mounted phones that are red or beige.
  • Wausau and Marshfield campus phones:  Look for wall-mounted phones that are black.

It should take no more than 30 seconds to reach the nearest campus phone if there is an immediate need.

Instructions for using campus phones for personal calls are posted near each phone.  Dialing instructions are also available online.

Emergency Code Blue Outdoor Phones

Code Blue telephones to quickly call UWSP Protective Services can be found outdoors along UWSP sidewalks and paths. Look for the tall, narrow kiosks with a blue light fixed on top. Just press the button to call UWSP Protective Services.
