How to Take and Submit Your PointCard Photo

The photo you upload will be used as your photo ID and printed on your PointCard. ​To prevent your uploaded photo from being rejected as unusable, make sure to carefully follow the criteria below for taking your photo.

Criteria For Taking Your Photo

  • Choose a solid, light color like a white wall as a background for your photo.
  • Take the photo of just you. DO NOT include friends, pets, etc. 
  • REMOVE hats, sunglasses, headphones and other accessories. Head coverings are allowed only if worn daily for religious purposes. 
  • Directly face the camera and take a centered head shot from the shoulders up. 
  • Check your photo to make sure that your full face is visible. 
  • Crop and size your photo to display a clear, front head shot.
  • DO NOT use camera filters.

CHECK YOUR PHOTO BEFORE UPLOADING! If your photo does not follow these criteria it will be rejected. You must then retake and resubmit your photo​.

Use the GET Mobile App to Take and Upload Your Photo

Take and upload your PointCard photo using the GET mobile app.

Install the GET Mobile App

  1. Down​lo​ad the GET Mobile app The GET mobile app icon. from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  2. ​​​Open the app.
  3. From the list of locations select "University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point".​
  4. ​​Sign in with your UWSP username and password and set your GET PIN. Make sure to record your pin somewhere safe for when needed.

 

Take and Upload Your Photo to GET Mobile

If you already have a photo saved to your computer see the section below, "Upload a Photo From Your Computer."

IOS

  1. At the lower-right corner tap more.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Upload.
  4. Select Take Photo or Choose Existing Photo.
  5. Allow Camera if needed.
  6. Take your photo following the above criteria for taking your photo.
  7. Select Use Photo.
  8. If needed, rotate your photo, and size and crop.
  9. Select Submit Photo for Review.

You will receive an email from the PointCard Office within one business day letting you know whether your photo was approved for use as your PointCard photo, or not approved and to resubmit following the criteria for taking your photo. Watch for this email!

Android

  1. Tap the empty photo icon.
  2. Tap the settings "gear" icon.
  3. Select Allow to take picture.
  4. Take your photo following the above criteria for taking your photo listed above.
  5. If needed, rotate your photo and size and crop.
  6. Select Submit Photo for Review.

You will receive an email from the PointCard Office within one business day letting you know whether your photo was approved for use as your PointCard photo, or not approved and to resubmit following the criteria for taking your photo. Watch for this email!

Upload a Photo From Your Computer

Sign into the GET online portal from your computer to upload a photo you have previously taken.

  1. Take your photo following the photo criteria above and save it on the computer. 
  2. Log into GET at get.cbord.com/uwsp with your UWSP username and password.
  3. Click Upload ID Photo at the right.
  4. Click Choose File and select your saved photo.
  5. Click Upload.
  6. If needed, slide the Crop tool to crop your photo. 

    If you need to rotate or resize your photo, click Cancel.  You should either retake your photo or do this work in a photo editing application.
     
  7. When finished, close your browser.

You will receive an email from the PointCard Office within one business day letting you know whether your photo was approved for use as your PointCard photo, or not approved and to resubmit following the criteria for taking your photo. Watch for this email!

How To Tell if Your Photo is Accepted For Printing Your PointCard?

After you upload your photo to the GET app, you should receive an email within one business day from the PointCard office letting you know that:

  • Your photo has been approved for use as your PointCard photo, or,
  • Your photo has not been approved along with a reason why it cannot be used for your PointCard.  

I​f your photo is not approved you should retake your photo carefully following the above Criteria for taking your photo. You may also stop by the IT Service Desk to have your photo taken and PointCard printed while you wait.
