Project Status Updates

Project status is updated by the project's primary project manager whenever significant progress or milestones have been accomplished. The frequency of these updates may vary depending on project and phase and should ideally occur every few days or up to two weeks depending on work progress. At a minimum, updates should be completed once per month even if just to state that no work occurred during this period and the future plans of when progress will resume.

Project status updates should include:

  • Status changes (i.e. "In Progress" or "On Hold")
  • Health changes (see Project Health Indicator Descriptions)
  • Percent complete
  • Comment describing work completed since the last update, work currently underway, current obstacles, and work expected to start in the near future.
