How Do I Use the Microsoft Authenticator App?

Before you can authenticate using the Microsoft Authenticator app, you will need to  install and set up the app.

Authenticate Using the Microsoft Authenticator App

  1. Sign in to a secure UWSP resource or service. A pop up box with a two-digit authentication number displays.


 

On your mobile device,

  1. Tap the Approve sign-in prompt.

Tap "Approve sign-in" on your mobile device.

 

  1. Enter the unique authentication number into the app.
  2. Tap Yes.

    Add the two-digit code into the "Enter Number" box on your mobile device screen.
     
  3. Depending on your device, you may also be asked to Input your mobile device pin or use biometrics to confirm and complete your MFA authentication.
