Remove Old Email Addresses from Outlook's Auto-Complete List

Tags email

Introduction:

Outlook's AutoComplete lets you select from a list of previously emailed contacts when you address an email. You can easily keep your AutoComplete recommendations current by removing stale, unused addresses as they appear. Addresses removed by mistake will be re-added to your AutoComplete the next time you add the address to an email.

Remove individual addresses from your AutoComplete List

Note: The Outlook Desktop app and Web app do not share AutoComplete lists and must be managed separately.

  1. Begin addressing an email to see the list of possible address matches.
  2. Click the "X" to the right of an address to remove it from your Auto-Complete's memory.
