Add the FollowMe Print Queues to a UWSP Computer (Employees)

To print from your UWSP computer using the Follow-Me Printing service you must first add the Follow-Me print queues:

  • UWSPFollowMe-BW (Black/white)

  • UWSPFollowMe-CL (color)

Note: all UWSP lab computers are already set up for FollowMe printing.

Add The Follow-Me Print Queues on Windows PC

Follow the steps below to add the Follow-Me print queues to your UWSP Windows computer. You can also submit an IT workorder to request the Follow-Me print queues be added.

  1. Copy one of the following Follow-Me print queue paths to your computer clipboard:
  • \\print2\uwspfollowme-cl
  • \\print2\uwspfollowme-bw
  1. Open Windows File Explorer.
  2. In the Windows File Explorer address box, paste the copied print queue.

    The Windows File Explorer address box is located at the top of File Explorer.
     
  3. Press Enter.

A Windows Printer Installation box opens and closes in a few moments. Once this box closes the UWSPFollowMe print queue that you added will open.

  1. Close this print queue box. The FollowMe print queue is installed and will be available from your available printers list.
  2. Repeat these steps to add the other FollowMe print queue.

 

Add The Follow-Me Print Queues on a Mac

If your assigned UWSP computer is a Mac, please add the Follow-M​e print queues from Self Service.
