Scan Paper Documents to Email From a FollowMe Printer

You can scan paper documents to your email from any FollowMe Device​​ that displays the PaperCut screen.

How to Scan Paper Documents to Your Email

  1. Sign into a FollowMe printer. To sign in,

    • Swipe your UWSP PointCard, or,

    • Tap ID number on the printer screen and enter your UWSP ID.  To display the numeric keys to enter your ID number, tap the "?123" button at the lower-left of the PaperCut screen keyboard.

Tap the "ID number" button. The "ID number" is below the "Username and password" button.

  1. Tap the Scan button.
    Picture shows the PaperCut screen with "Log out" on the top green row at the right. The second, white row displays the number of print jobs pending. Below this are buttons for "Print release", Device functions", and "Scan".
     
  2. At the upper-left, select Scan to My Email.
    "Scan to My Email" displays at the upper-left. You can also scan to your "OneDrive" located to the right of "Scan to My Email".
     
  3. For double-sided scanning or other changes to basic settings, select Settings at the right.
    The "Scan to my email" screen displays your email address, and the Subject and filename that will when you receive the email and attached scanned file.
     
  4. To scan multiple pages that are not feeder compatible, select the box to Prompt for more pages at the bottom of the screen.
     
  5. Select Start Scanning at the lower-right. You should see a momentary Scan complete message. The display will then return to the screen where you can select Scan to My Email again, or choose a different option.
     
  6. When you are finished, select Logout at the upper right.
     
  7. ​​Check your email in a few minutes to see your scanned document(s).
