You can take a Teams Call while you are in a meeting then return to the meeting when you call is done. While Teams Calls currently does not have a built-in option to let meeting attendees know that you are temporarily stepping away, you can send a quick chat to alert them.
Take a Teams Call While in a Teams Meeting
Choose instructions from the following list:
- Send a quick chat message or verbally let meeting attendees know that you are temporarily stepping away from the meeting. If you suspect that you may need to take a call during an upcoming meeting, consider also letting the attendees know at the meeting start.
- Answer the call as usual. This temporarily removes you from the meeting.
- When you have finished your call click Leave. This closes the Call window and returns you to the Meeting window.
- Back on the meeting window, click Resume to re-enter the meeting.
- Tap Hold & Accept to take the incoming call, You are now temporarily stepping away from the meeting to take your call as the other attendees continue to meet.
- Tap Resume to return to your meeting.
If you are in a Teams meeting and receive a call, just answer your call on your Yealink phone. You will remain in your meeting and can rejoin when your call is complete.
