Access Teams Files Through Your OneDrive

Body

To easily access MS Teams shared files from your Windows File Explorer, "Sync" your SharePoint Library (Teams) file storage. Syncing uses the installed OneDrive app sync engine to create a separate sync relationship for SharePoint Library (Teams) folders in addition to your installed personal OneDrive app.

The first time you sync a SharePoint Library (e.g. your Teams shared files), you will see a separate "UWSP" sync relationship at the left in File Explorer in addition to your installed OneDrive app. Future synced Teams-SharePoint folders will also be available from "UWSP."

Sync Teams Shared Files to Your File Explorer

  1. In your Team, select the General channel.
  2. At the top right, select the Shared tab.
  3. Click Documents.

You should now see a folder for each channel in your Team.

  1. On the right on the Commands menu (New, Upload, etc...) click the ellipses (...) and select Sync.

Your Teams Shared files are now available from Windows File Explorer on your local computer.
