Hear Your Teams Calls Ring Through Your Computer Speakers

Summary

How to hear your calls ring through your computer speakers if your call audio comes through a headset.

Body

By default, your Teams incoming call tone will most likely ring through your headset (if one is plugged in) instead of through your computer speakers.

You can change your incoming calls to ring through your computer speakers in Teams Settings, yet still have call audio come through your headset for a better audio experience.

How To Set Teams Calls To Ring Through Your Computer Speakers

  1. At the top-right in Teams, click the Ellipses (...) and select Settings.
  2. From the Settings list in the left pane, select Devices.
  3. At the right, scroll down and click the dropdown box for Secondary ringer.
  • For HP (PC) computers, select Speakers (Realtek(R) Audio).
  • For Mac computers, select the built-in Mac speakers.
  1. Close Settings.
