Account activation is needed for all new students, faculty, and staff to access their UWSP account and campus resources. The Service Desk helps students, faculty, and staff maintain their UWSP accounts but further issues will go to the Accounts team.
This document will go over the process of activating an account and how to troubleshoot if issues with activating an account arise.

Activating your UWSP account is a two-step process at UWSP. First you will activate your account and then you will need to set up multi-factor authentication.
NOTE: Multi-factor authentication is enforced for all students, retired faculty, volunteers, and other affiliated accounts. Multi-factor authentication must be enabled within 30 days of account activation.
Activating Your UWSP Account:

Go to the UWSP account activation page.

Click on Activate My Account at the bottom of the page.

Type in your UWSP ID number, the last 5 digits of your social security number (or the last five digits of your student ID number), and your birthday. Click Verify Account.

Complete the account identification questions.

Create a password for your account.
