Using Your Yealink Headset

Body

When setting up your Yealink Headset, make sure that you connect the base to a DC power supply, Once you have set up your headset, see the following for how to install the associated Yealink app and for using your headset.

Using Your Yealink Headset

Install the App

Install the Yealink app from the Windows Software Center.  Once installed, updates for the Yealink app are automatically managed by IT.

Do not run updates directly from the Yealink app if you are prompted. While the update may appear to proceed as expected, it will fail in the background potentially causing issues during your next call or meeting. Your only option then may be to restart your device to restore your headset's normal performance.

Charging

After your Yealink headset is set up and the app installed, place the headset on its stand to charge for at least 30 minutes. Always return it to its stand whenever it is not being used during work and at the end of the day.

Headset Range

Use your headset in the same room as the base station to ensure that your headset performs optimally.

  1. Type Yealink into your Windows search and select Yealink USB Connect.
  2. In the open app select your headset.
  3. At the left select Device Settings.
