How Does FollowMe Printing and Mobility Print Work?

​With FollowMe Printing, you can print your documents from a UWSP networked computer to a FollowMe print queue.  A print queue is simply a virtual holding area (i.e. print server) where print jobs are stored until your document is physically printed.

The FollowMe print queue​ holds your print jobs for up to 72 hours giving you ample time to go to your favorite FollowMe printer and physically print your documents. Mobility Print also uses FollowMe Printing to allow your personal devices to print to a UWSP FollowMe printer.

​With FollowMe printing you can:

• Pri​​​​​​nt from a UWSP computer or personal device from anywhere on the UWSP network to any FolowMe printer.  You can easily p​rint from a different FollowMe printer if your favorite printer jams.
   
• ​Release and print your print jobs up to 72 hours after sending them to a FollowMe print queue. For example you can print to a FollowMe print queue on Friday afternoon then print to a FollowMe printer on​​​​ Monday​​​ morning.
   
• Print safely and securely.  Securely sign in at a UWSP FollowMe printer before releasing your print job. No more accidental print​ing to the wrong printer or discovering that your printed items have been moved or even recycled.
   
• Scan paper documents and email yourself digital copies as pdf and image file types from any FollowMe printer.
