Sometimes the emails we send go to out of service inboxes, incorrect addresses, or encounter technical issues.
Troubleshooting Undeliverable Email Messages
- If a message was unable to send due to the recipient email server rejecting it, you will receive an email from Microsoft Outlook.
- Make sure the email address is correct. If you used an auto-filled address, look it up in the address book and try sending again. If you continue to receive undeliverable messages, forward the "Undeliverable" message to the IT Service Desk and they will attempt to troubleshoot.
- You will see the following message from Microsoft Outlook if you attempt to send a message that violates UWSP's email policy or a system error is encountered.
- If you are unable to send an email and instead receive an error message saying "Access denied, spam abuse detected", contact the IT Service Desk.
For any other issues, contact the IT Service Desk for help.
